MECHANICAL AND CHASSIS

• Chassis: Our restorations are fully frame-off. The chassis is sandblasted, primer powder-coated for adhesion and rust protection, then black powder-coated. All minor pieces and metal supports are treated at 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
• Trailing Arms: Galvanized with new polyurethane bushings for a better feel. Terrafirma 3ºF and 30ºR trailing arms are optional for better performance in lifted builds.
• Axels: Completely refurbished, sandblasted, and powder-coated.
• Transmission: Ashcroft UK refurbishes the transfer box, enhancing resistance, leak prevention, and fitting bespoke ratios for the Defender’s use and tire size. Ashcroft gearbox and new driveshafts are installed.
• Steering Box: All ball joints and steering bars are replaced, with heavy-duty options available.
• Engine: All internals and mechanical components are new and tested, including injection pumps, turbo, and cooling systems. 200TDI and 300TDI engines are tuned for optimal performance with sport exhausts.
• Brakes: New pistons, seals, pads, rotors, coated calipers, stainless-steel brake lines, and pumps using OEM parts. Upgrades like Alcon brake kits or EBC rotors are available.
• Suspension: We use Bilstein or Terrafirma shocks, Terrafirma or Eibach springs, and Fox suspensions for off-road use. Polyurethane bump stops improve comfort in demanding situations.
• Exhaust: Three options: OEM, middle sport stainless-steel with muffler suppressor, or fully stainless-steel exhaust.
• Heat/AC: Webasto AC units specifically built for 200TDI or 300TDI engines, paired with Exmoor seats and OEM heating for winter comfort.
